$5.3-Million Deal Will Protect 1,967 Acres

The Nature Conservancy will pay $5.3 million to buy 1,967 acres of private ranch land just outside Pinnacles National Monument to ensure that it remains undeveloped.
The deal between the Park Service, ranch owners and the Nature Conservancy was announced Thursday.
