Woman Arrested in January Slaying of Man
A woman was being held without bail Friday in connection with a January slaying in Garden Grove of a man who was apparently involved in a business dispute with gang members, police said.
Autumn Star Cruz, 20, was arrested Thursday at her West Covina home, said Garden Grove police Lt. Mike Handfield. She will be arraigned Tuesday on murder and other charges, he said.
The victim, Melvin Liufau, 35, was found dead by his roommate in the 11600 block of Wasco Road on Jan. 5, Handfield said. Liufau was not a gang member, he said.
