PRI Wins Governor’s Race in Hidalgo State

Mexico’s former ruling party won the governor’s race in the central state of Hidalgo.
Miguel Angel Osorio, supported both by the Institutional Revolutionary Party, or PRI, and Mexico’s small Green Party, received 52% of the vote. Jose Guadarrama of the leftist Democratic Revolution Party had 29%. Jose Antonio Haghenbeck of the National Action Party finished with less than 12%.
