Judge Won’t Revoke Bail for Geneticist in Sex Case
From Times Staff and Wire Reports
A judge denied a request to revoke bail for William French Anderson, the geneticist charged with molestation in Los Angeles and Maryland.
Anderson, 68, remained free Tuesday after he posted $1-million bail on the Maryland charges, filed last week. He had posted $600,000 bail last year on the local charges.
Prosecutors said he was a threat to public safety, a flight risk and potentially suicidal.
