Roomy, with many views

Architect Marshall Lewis’ name is often associated with the Silver Strand area of Marina del Rey. Lewis designed at least five houses on the Strand, a sliver of land two blocks wide and 10 blocks long, but the Santa Monica-based architect has left his mark in other residential areas as well.

This contemporary-style house designed by Lewis was built in Brentwood in 1989, after the architect had done much of his work on the Strand.

It has an advantage that none of the Strand houses had: land. The home sits on about an acre. Lewis remarked once that the Strand looks like a movie set because of the many big houses of various styles built on small lots.
