The art side of the moon
What if Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin, after landing on the moon in 1969, discovered a group of Edwardian space travelers that were lost and stranded after all those years? “The Apollo Prophecies” is a fictional record of this narrative by collaborative artists Nicholas Kahn and Richard Selesnick, who made costumes, built props and staged photographs to create this imaginary world. The exhibition features large panoramic images, mixed-media drawings and odd artifacts brought back from the expedition, including an Edwardian space mask and moon paste.
