Cleanup Keeping Some Southland Roads Closed

Several roads throughout Southern California remained closed due to storm damage.

In the San Fernando Valley, Mulholland Drive, Coldwater Canyon Avenue and Laurel Canyon Boulevard between the Hollywood and San Diego freeways will be closed on and off today while city work crews clear storm debris.

Topanga Canyon Boulevard will remain closed between Pacific Coast Highway and Greenleaf Canyon Road, except for a few hours daily for residents and school buses beginning Monday.

The road will be open daily to limited southbound traffic from 7 to 9 a.m., and northbound traffic from 3:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

At the Orange-Riverside county line, Ortega Highway will remain closed through at least Jan. 24 for Caltrans repairs of storm damage.

A mudslide also has reduced southbound traffic on the Golden State Freeway along the southern portion of the Grapevine to one lane at Templin Highway. Caltrans is reporting two-hour delays in the area.

In Ventura County, U.S. Highway 101 at La Conchita -- where a mudslide killed 10 people last week -- has been reopened.

Some state roads closed in San Bernardino and Riverside counties because of storm damage may reopen today.

These include Highway 18 from Snow Valley to Big Bear Dam and Highway 330 to Big Bear.
