Arizona State (12-4, 4-2) at USC (11-4, 5-1), noon, Lyon Center, FSNW, KMPC (1540) -- By knocking off visiting Arizona on Friday, winning its fifth consecutive game (longest such streak since 1997) and moving into a three-way tie for first place in the Pacific 10 Conference, USC officially removed the “surprise” tag from its team. But Arizona State has already claimed one local victim, upsetting No. 19 UCLA on Friday, and would love to end its four-game losing streak to the Trojans. Both teams are similar in that coaches Mark Trakh of USC and Charli Turner Thorne use a lot of players, and don’t depend on one or two to carry the team on offense or defense.

Arizona (11-5, 3-3) at No. 19 UCLA (11-4, 5-1), 2 p.m., Pauley Pavilion -- The Bruins did not expect to go through Pac-10 play undefeated. But that doesn’t ease the sting of Friday’s upset loss to Arizona State, ending UCLA’s 10-game home winning streak and overall five-game winning streak. Now they contend with a grumpy Wildcat squad that was handled rather easily by USC on Friday. Don’t expect standout Arizona guard Dee-Dee Wheeler to endure another two-for-13 shooting game like the one she had against the Trojans.

MEN

Loyola Marymount (9-7, 1-2) at Portland (12-6, 1-2), 5 p.m., FSNW2, KXLU-FM (88.9) -- The Lions could use a victory to keep from falling further behind in the West Coast Conference. Sophomore center Matthew Knight continues to show why he may be the league’s most improved player; he had 20 points and nine rebounds in Thursday’s loss at Gonzaga. Senior guard Charles Brown, however, had one of his worst games of the season, missing all seven of his shots. Portland has been getting a lift from sophomore forward Ben Sullivan, a transfer from Cal State Northridge. Sullivan tied a career high with 13 points and added eight rebounds in a victory Thursday over Pepperdine.
