Oregon State Coach Jay John was released from a Seattle hospital Sunday, a day after he complained of chest pains at halftime of a loss to Washington.

Paramedics took John to the nearby University of Washington Medical Center before the No. 14 Huskies finished off the Beavers, 108-68.

Tests showed the chest pains and shortness of breath probably were not the result of any serious health problems, according to Roger Horne, an Oregon State spokesman.
