Catholic Church Backs the Use of Condoms

A spokesman for the Roman Catholic Church in Spain has said it supports the use of condoms to prevent AIDS.
The Vatican has held the view that condoms, a form of artificial birth control, cannot be used.
But Juan Antonio Martinez Camino, with the Spanish Bishops Conference, said condoms have a place, citing a study in the medical journal Lancet that supported the so-called ABC approach of abstinence, being faithful and using condoms.
