Bonaduce leaves radio station

Share

After six years, Danny Bonaduce, co-host of the morning drive-time show at KYSR-FM (98.7), has left the adult contemporary radio station.

The contract of the former child actor, still best known for his role in the 1970s hit television series “The Partridge Family,” was up for negotiation and it was not renewed, said Robert Lyles, the station’s marketing director. He wouldn’t elaborate.

Bonaduce’s departure follows a recent monthlong stint in rehab for a substance abuse problem. The hiatus for rehab has also apparently stalled a reality-based television series for VH-1 that was to be centered around Bonaduce.

Bonaduce’s former co-host, Jamie White, remains on the air and his position has been taken over by Jack Hine and Mike Roberts (better known to listeners as Stench), already regulars with the program.
