Universal’s Meyer Signs Five-Year Contract

Universal Studios President and Chief Operating Officer Ron Meyer signed a five-year contract extension and will continue to lead its film and parks and resorts businesses.
Meyer, 60, joined the Universal City-based studio in 1995 from Creative Artists Agency, the talent firm he co-founded in 1975. He was a TV talent agent for William Morris Agency from 1970 to 1975.
Universal Studios is a subsidiary of General Electric Co. controlled NBC Universal.
