Man Fleeing Accident Struck, Killed by Cars
A Corona man was struck by two cars and killed early Friday while he tried to flee the scene of an accident, authorities said.
The unidentified man, 39, was pronounced dead shortly after 2 a.m. on the MacArthur Boulevard onramp to the Costa Mesa Freeway, officials said.
Authorities said he was running from the scene of a car accident in which he had been involved. The man ran across the freeway, down a dirt embankment and across the onramp where he was struck by a car. That driver fled and is being sought by police.
While lying on the pavement, he was struck by another car whose driver called police.
