Presidential Election Is Set for Sept. 7

Egypt has set Sept. 7 as the date of its first multi-candidate presidential vote, officials said.
The nation’s election committee said candidates could register nominations starting Friday and that campaigning would begin Aug. 17 and end Sept. 4.
