Master Of Disaster, an impressive 2-year-old debut winner, will make his stakes debut in the $100,000 Flash today at Belmont Park.

Owned by Puglisi Stables and trainer Steve Klesaris, Master Of Disaster broke his maiden with a 13 3/4 -length win against five opponents May 10 at Delaware Park.

Ridden by Ramon Dominguez in his debut, Master Of Disaster will be ridden by John Velazquez in the Flash, a Grade III at five furlongs.

The field of six includes three other colts that won at first asking. Union Course beat maidens by 6 1/4 lengths May 6 at Belmont, Tompest won by a nose at Keeneland on April 21, and Speed Of Sound won by five at Belmont on May 19.

Race of the day: Slew Is King, who whipped $32,000 claimers by six lengths on May 27 in his first start in California, steps into allowance company in his second for trainer Mike Mitchell in tonight’s seventh at Hollywood Park. Tyler Baze will ride the 5-year-old Slewdledo gelding for Vaughn Racing in the $51,000 allowance at 1 1/16 miles. The race is part of a pick six with a carry-over of $86,775.

One for the road: Christina’s Melody moves in with New York-breds for the first time after losing at 9-10 against better in her debut at Gulfstream Park and should improve significantly in today’s 10th at Belmont. The Unbridled’s Song filly, trained by Barclay Tagg, will be ridden by Edgar Prado in the $41,000 contest at seven furlongs.

Exotically speaking: A late pick four using Siphon Melody, Rene De Sonora and Willow Rush in the fifth, Exclusive, Handsome Michael K, Cabo’s Dawn and Parental Force in the sixth, Slew Is King in the seventh and G T Forty, General Trick and Robert E in the eighth.
