Motorist Arrested After Allegedly Waving a Gun
A Buena Park man was arrested Wednesday after allegedly brandishing a firearm at a motorist on the Riverside Freeway.
Michael McCready, 47, was charged with making criminal threats and released on $50,000 bail. Police said they began tracking him about 9 a.m. after another motorist -- Waseem Bashra -- reported the incident near Magnolia Avenue. Bashra followed the threatening driver as he communicated with dispatchers on a cell phone. Police pulled over McCready’s vehicle near Crescent Avenue and Pierce Drive. Authorities said they found an unloaded pistol and ammunition in the car.
