Crash Kills Four Members of Flying Club
From Times Wire Reports
Four members of a flying club were killed when their small plane crashed into Long Island Sound on a flight from Maine to Connecticut.
The single-engine Cessna 182 was one of nearly two dozen planes participating in the International Fellowship of Flying Rotarians’ annual “fly-about” tour, club member Phil Yoder said in New London.
The cause of the crash had not been determined, but Coast Guard officials said there was heavy fog in the area at the time.
