Elderly Beating Victim’s Pickup Truck Is Found

Sheriff’s investigators Sunday found a pickup truck that was missing from the home of an elderly woman beaten to death last week in La Mirada.
The 2003 Dodge Ram truck was recovered on Greenleaf Avenue north of Whittier Boulevard, several miles from the woman’s house, said Sheriff’s Deputy Rich Pena. No arrests have been made. A family member discovered the body of Adelina Garcia, 89, about 4:30 p.m. Friday at the family house in the 15000 block of Stanbrook Drive.
