CHP Officers Kill Driver After High-Speed Chase

A man was fatally shot by California Highway Patrol officers after a high-speed chase that began in South San Francisco and ended when the suspect crashed on the U.S. 101 offramp, authorities said.
The incident began when South San Francisco police responded to a domestic violence call about 1:15 p.m. Sunday. Officers found the suspect driving south toward U.S. 101. After the vehicle crashed, the man approached officers, allegedly wielding an unknown weapon. He was shot at the scene.
