Rose Will Bloom Again as Fox Reorganizes Its ‘Best’ Sports Show

Three months after removing Chris Rose as the host of “Best Damn Sports Show Period,” Fox Sports Net announced Tuesday that Rose was coming back, effective March 21.

FSN also confirmed that Tom Arnold would no longer be a regular on the show. Arnold, under a new one-year contract, will appear periodically during major sports events.

John Salley will remain on the show and be joined by a new ensemble. Among the candidates are former Dodger Todd Zeile.

“Since December, we’ve tried a talk-show format, and Tom Arnold and John Salley gave it everything they had,” said George Greenberg, FSN executive vice president. “Despite that tremendous effort, I felt that the ensemble-cast format was what set the show apart from so many other talk shows. That’s why we’re bringing it back.”
