More reality fodder: ABC plans to produce a prime-time version of the hit British series “Strictly Come Dancing,” in which eight celebrities are paired with professional dancers and train to compete in a ballroom dancing competition.

Animal activist: Bob Barker, the host of “The Price Is Right,” has donated $1 million to Northwestern University’s School of Law to endow a course on animal rights law. He has given similar funds in recent years to law schools at Duke, Stanford, Columbia and UCLA.
