Display of Excess
Re “Gov. Wins Initiative Fundraising Case,” March 24: Whether or not Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has a legal right to raise unlimited funds from special interests, he has an obligation to the people he represents to stop this display of excess. After all, his campaign promise was to stop special interest influence in Sacramento. It’s hard to see how hosting dinners for thousands of dollars a plate will accomplish that goal.
