Big Rig Strikes, Kills Woman in Crosswalk

A woman was killed late Thursday when she was struck by a tractor-trailer truck while crossing the street, officials said.
Elizabeth Bashore, 47, of Anaheim, who was in a crosswalk, was hit about 10:20 p.m. when the truck made a turn at Valley View Street and Orangethorpe Avenue, Buena Park police said. She was pronounced dead at the scene
Truck driver Janet Parsons, 51, of Texas was charged with misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter.
