With seven shutout innings from Roger Clemens and an offensive outburst -- by team standards -- the Houston Astros ended an 11-game road losing streak Monday and beat the Florida Marlins, 2-1, at Miami.

Orlando Palmeiro, who had one run batted in before the game, drove in the runs. Houston has scored 11 runs in seven starts by Clemens (2-1).

“Once we got the two runs, it felt like a lot,” Clemens said. “You just try not to make any mistakes.”

Clemens, 42, earned his 20th win with the Astros and the 330th of his career, moving into ninth place on the all-time list. He gave up four hits and lowered his earned-run average to 1.10. He has not given up a run in 21 innings on the road.

San Francisco 2, Pittsburgh 1 -- Brett Tomko out-pitched Mark Redman for the second time in 10 days, and Omar Vizquel hit a run-scoring double for the host Giants to give him an 11-game hitting streak.

Tomko (3-4) pitched his second complete game in three starts, retiring the last 21 batters he faced to finish with a six-hitter in a game that was over in 1:49.

San Diego 6, Cincinnati 5 -- Ryan Klesko homered to start another ninth-inning rally against the Reds’ beleaguered bullpen, and Dave Roberts had a run-scoring single in the 13th to lift the Padres at Cincinnati.

Closer Danny Graves blew a big ninth-inning lead for the second time in eight days. Robert Fick’s bases-loaded double completed a four-run rally that tied the score, 5-5.

Colorado 7, Atlanta 6 -- Todd Helton hit two run-scoring doubles, and relievers Jose Acevedo, Brian Fuentes and Chin-Hui Tsao combined for 3 2/3 scoreless innings to lift the Rockies at Denver.

Jamey Wright (2-2) gave up 10 hits, four walks and six runs in 5 1/3 innings to earn his first victory at Coors Field this season and help end the Braves’ five-game winning streak.

Philadelphia 4, Milwaukee 2 -- Chase Utley homered twice, and Jason Michaels and Bobby Abreu homered to help Randy Wolf win on the road for the first time since July 17.

Wolf (2-4) gave up two runs and five hits in seven innings, and ended a three-game skid.

Washington 4, Arizona 3 -- Nick Johnson drove in two runs with a homer and a tiebreaking double at Phoenix, and the Nationals beat the Diamondbacks for the 10th consecutive time.

Ryan Church had a homer and a double for Washington, and Livan Hernandez (5-2) worked seven innings to win his fourth consecutive game for the first time in three years.

New York 7, Chicago 4 -- Doug Mientkiewicz hit a go-ahead homer in the eighth inning against LaTroy Hawkins (1-4) in a game at Chicago that was delayed twice because of rain for a total of more than 1 1/2 hours.

Mike Piazza of the Mets hit his 384th homer, tying him for 48th all-time with Harold Baines.
