Valenzuela Could Be Out for Two Months
Pat Valenzuela, who was unseated shortly after the start of Sunday’s eighth race at Hollywood Park, will undergo surgery on his right knee this week and could be sidelined for two months.
Valenzuela, the leading rider at the Santa Anita meet, also suffered a concussion.
It was the second time he had injured his knee this season at Hollywood Park.
