Car Passenger Killed in Shooting Downtown

Two passengers in a car were shot, one fatally, as they rode through downtown Wednesday, officials said.
The shooting occurred about 3:30 p.m. near Bixel and 7th streets. Investigators are not sure whether the shots came from another car, but witnesses said they saw a second car speed away.
The victims were in a silver Impala with two other people. One passenger was shot in the head and later died. The other was shot in the shoulder.
