Is Our Man Losing NBA’s Mental Game?

I’m becoming more and more dismayed over Mark Heisler’s Sunday NBA column, and more and more concerned about Mr. Heisler’s emotional state.

During the course of this season, Heisler’s articles have morphed from inside stories covering the entire league with occasional lame attempts at sardonic humor to mainly whining over the state of the NBA combined with a sophomoric “but I don’t really care anyway” attitude.

The poor man is obviously either burned out, depressed or just merely loathes his job (he insinuates that The Times actually forced him to go to watch a playoff game). That The Times should consider replacing him goes without saying. However, you should do so not because of his journalistic mediocrity, but rather simply for his own emotional well-being.
