From Anthrax to the Germs, this stuff is catchy

DVD releases through the end of the year haven’t left out pop music fans. New discs cater to a broad selection of tastes, including fans of punk rock, hip-hop, former Beatles and the crooning of early Streisand:

God Save the Queen: A Punk Rock Anthology. Studio and live performances from 21 classic old-school punk bands, including the Germs, Buzzcocks, Iggy and the Stooges. Music Video Distributors: includes interviews with, among others, Johnny Thunders and Marky Ramone, $14.95, Dec. 6.

Imagine: John Lennon Deluxe Edition. Coinciding with the 25th anniversary of his death, documentary draws upon material from Lennon’s extensive archive of film and videotape to portray a half-fiction, half-real day in the life of Lennon. New York Dolls: All Dolled Up. Culled from 40 hours of video shot by photographer Bob Gruen, this is a feature-length documentary on New York’s fave glam rockers. Includes footage from a West Coast tour. Music Video Distributors: $19.95, Dec. 6.

Ozzfest: The 10th Anniversary Concert. Showcases the best of the 2005 tour, including performances by Black Sabbath, Velvet Revolver, Anthrax and Rob Zombie. Clear Channel: $19.98, Nov. 22.
