Sheehan and Others Plead Not Guilty

War protester Cindy Sheehan and several others pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor charges of demonstrating without a permit outside the White House. They face fines but no jail time.
Their trial continues today before U.S. Magistrate Alan Kay.
Before the proceedings began, Sheehan announced plans to return to Texas next week to resume her antiwar protest near President Bush’s ranch.
