Matt Lojeski and Julian Sensley each scored 20 points for Hawaii on Saturday in an 84-62 victory at Honolulu that ended No. 4 Michigan State’s streak of season-opening wins at 28.

Michigan State was hampered by poor shooting and leg cramps. The Spartans stopped on Oahu on the way to the Maui Invitational that starts Monday.

It was the biggest home win for the Warriors (1-0) since they beat No. 2 Kansas in the final of the 1997 Rainbow Classic.

Lojeski, a junior college transfer playing in his first Division I game, made six of eight three-point shots, his last one capping a 14-2 run that gave Hawaii a 70-52 lead with 6:03 left.

Maurice Ager, one of four Michigan State players affected by leg cramps, had 16 points.

No. 1 Duke 84, Davidson 55 -- J.J. Redick scored 29 points on 10-for-18 shooting, including four for six from three-point range, and the Blue Devils (3-0) took a break from the NIT Season Tip-Off and beat Davidson (0-1).

It’s the 19th straight victory for Duke in the series, and the 28th in 29 outings in Cameron Indoor Stadium. Davidson’s only victory in Durham came in Coach Mike Krzyzewski’s second season.

No. 6 Oklahoma 68, Samford 41 -- Kevin Bookout had 13 points and 10 rebounds and Michael Neal 15 points on five three-pointers at Norman, Okla., for the Sooners.

Oklahoma opened the second half with a 22-5 run and had a 49-22 lead after Nate Carter’s reverse layup with 9:59 to play.

No. 7 Louisville 78, Tennessee Martin 61 -- Juan Palacios had 16 points and 11 rebounds at home for the Cardinals at Louisville, Ky., in the season opener for both teams.
