Government: All city, county, state and federal offices and public schools will be closed Thursday and Friday. Libraries and post offices will be closed Thursday.
Transportation: MTA buses and trains will follow their altered Sunday schedules Thursday. The Los Angeles County transit system will return to its regular weekday schedule Friday.
Trash: Check with your local public works department for collection schedules.
