Two Games Shown at Same Time Tonight

With tonight’s two baseball playoff games going head to head, Fox will televise the Angels and Chicago White Sox on Channel 11 in Los Angeles, with FX carrying the Houston Astros and St. Louis Cardinals on cable television.

In markets where the Astro-Cardinal game is deemed to have more interest, it will be the other way around.

It will be a different setup on satellite. FX on DirecTV and Dish Network can carry only one game nationally, and that will be the Angels and White Sox. So alternate channels have been set up to carry the Astros and Cardinals. On DirecTV it is Channel 246, and on Dish it is Channel 137.

FX is available in 87.2 million U.S. households.

The reason the games are on at the same time, Fox spokesman Dan Bell said, “is that far more people are available to watch these games at 5 o’clock than at 1 o’clock.”
