Just taste Morocco

I was shocked and surprised by your article about Morocco [“Down, Dirty in Morocco,” Oct. 16]. The article dealt with making movies away from Hollywood, and the producer of “The Hills Have Eyes,” Marianne Maddalena, takes along Balance bars and cups of Sylvester Stallone’s pudding so that she won’t have to eat the food.

The food in Morocco is certainly among the most interesting experiences a traveler will enjoy anywhere, filled with wonderful spices.

Too many Americans travel to foreign destinations and are never touched by the cultural environment. Maddalena and others with similar preconceived feelings should stay in Hollywood and have their meals delivered from Whole Foods.
