5 Die in Quake Near Border With Pakistan
From Times Wire Reports
An earthquake destroyed mud-brick homes and killed five people near Afghanistan’s border with Pakistan, a Defense Ministry spokesman said.
Six people were injured, and rescuers were on their way to the remote mountainous area, Gen. Mohammed Zahir Azimi said.
The quake had a magnitude of 5.2, said Pakistan’s Seismological Center in Peshawar.
