Update -- The exhibition is the first of 10 meetings between the Ducks and Kings this season, eight of which will come during the regular season. Goaltender Mathieu Garon will make his King debut tonight and play half the game. Jason LaBarbera, projected to be Garon’s backup, will start at San Jose on Sunday. The Mighty Ducks’ newly acquired defenseman Scott Niedermayer won’t be in the lineup tonight, but Teemu Selanne will be playing, along with veterans Sergei Fedorov, Sandis Ozolinsh and Ruslan Salei. Others who won’t be suiting up: Jean-Sebastien Giguere, Petr Sykora, Samuel Pahlsson, Keith Carney, Andy McDonald and Craig Adams. Rookie Ilya Brzygalov will get the start in goal for the Ducks and is expected to play the entire game. King Coach Andy Murray said that the team’s veteran players would either play tonight or in Sunday’s game.
