Home Is Evacuated After Slope Gives Way

Los Angeles officials have red-tagged a Hollywood Hills home after a hillside above Laurel Canyon Boulevard gave way, threatening the home.
The city asked residents to leave the home Friday afternoon as a precaution, said Bob Steinbach of the city building and safety department.
City officials will continue to monitor the area before deciding whether to allow the residents to return, Steinbach said.
