Lopez seeks to block ex’s book

Jennifer Lopez is seeking a restraining order preventing her former husband from writing a tell-all book about the star and their relationship.

According to a lawsuit filed Monday in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Lopez alleges that ex-husband Ojani Noa sent her attorneys a letter dated Jan. 19 demanding $5 million, or else he would continue shopping the manuscript to publishers. Noa’s attorney, David Michael DeRubertis, could not be reached for comment.

The suit contends that if the manuscript is made public, it would violate a confidentiality agreement reached between Lopez and Noa as part of a settlement of another lawsuit. The two married in 1997 and divorced a year later.
