Surfer Dies After Apparent Heart Attack

A surfer died early Wednesday after he collapsed from an apparent heart attack at Bolsa Chica State Beach, officials said.
The man, who was in his 40s, was not identified pending notification of relatives.
He had gone surfing at 6 a.m. with his uncle, who found him unconscious about 5 feet from shore, officials said.
Surf conditions were normal, lifeguards said.
The man was taken to Huntington Beach Hospital, where he died.
