Compliance and Ethics Officer Hired by County

San Bernardino County, plagued by scandal in the 1990s and political infighting in recent years, on Friday announced it had hired its first compliance and ethics officer.
Maria Sage, who currently serves as managing director of San Diego-based Ethics & Compliance Consulting, will begin work Monday. She will be responsible for developing and implementing an ethics and compliance program.
