‘Noxious Gas’ Released Inside Movie Theater

About 40 moviegoers suffered burning noses and coughing fits Friday afternoon after someone released a foreign substance inside a theater showing “United 93,” authorities said.
Two people were treated for minor respiratory irritation at the Howard Hughes Center, said Brian Humphreys, Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman.
One person described the substance as a “noxious gas.”
The incident was under investigation.
