More than 1,000 items, including props and costumes, went on display Wednesday at Christie’s in a preview of the first official auction of “Star Trek” studio items.
The collection, valued at $1.8 million, is being sold by CBS Paramount Television Studios to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the first “Star Trek” episode. Next week the items will go on tour to four cities. The Oct. 5 auction will include a uniform worn by Willam Shatner that is expected to fetch up to $6,000.
