Update -- Coach Frank Yallop’s reshaping of the defending MLS champion Galaxy continued this week with the acquisition Tuesday of U.S. national team winger Santino Quaranta from D.C. United and the signing Monday of Canadian national team defender Ante Jazic. Quaranta, 21, is a six-year MLS veteran. He has scored 14 goals in 62 games since being signed by United at age 16. The Galaxy gave up a partial player allocation and a conditional 2008 draft pick for Quaranta. Jazic, 30, is a left back from Halifax, Nova Scotia, who has played professionally in Croatia, Austria and Russia. Galaxy General Manager Alexi Lalas said Jazic would add “some much-needed composure and bite” to the back line. Galaxy defender Ugo Ihemelu is questionable because of a left knee sprain. Midfielder Landon Donovan and defender Tyrone Marshall are expected to return from injuries. For the Dynamo, midfielder Dwayne DeRosario is suspended. Tonight’s game is the first half of a doubleheader, with European and Spanish champion FC Barcelona playing Club America of Mexico in the nightcap (7:30 p.m., Fox Soccer Channel).
