Uh, not his fans

EVERY time Justin Timberlake opens his mouth to an interviewer, he alienates another segment of his fan base [“Justin, Take 2,” Aug. 13]. Now he’s dissing Kanye? He can be as cocky and confident as he wants, but he isn’t the new messiah of the music industry.

Four years after his first solo outing and he can’t stop talking about Britney in interview after interview. How pathetic for Cameron Diaz to hear her boyfriend raging about a relationship that ended a year before they hooked up.

Frankly, I’m disappointed in the black community for opening its arms to Timberlake. This is the same guy that threw Janet Jackson under the bus so he could go to the Grammys. I guarantee you he knew exactly what was going to happen on that stage at the Super Bowl.

THE article on Timberlake was way too long, pretentious and overworked. Good space in The Times totally wasted!

Also: A “band” is a group of musicians mostly playing woodwind, brass and percussion instruments. Add strings and the band becomes an orchestra. It is not four teenagers screaming something they call a song. “Boy band,” what is that?

AN honest question inspired by the article’s vagueness: What exactly is Timberlake’s second album supposed to prove that his first failed to prove?
