It’ll be foodie heaven when the Los Angeles Wine and Food Festival hits the Los Angeles Convention Center this weekend. Hundreds of wineries will be pouring and offering attendees tips on pairing wine with food, the proper way to sip and other esoteric skills. Celebrity chefs and gourmets, including Cat Cora, David Lawrence, Tommy Tang and Amy Reiley, will do cooking demonstrations, share ideas and discuss the latest trends in food and beverages. There will also be book signings, food and dessert tastings and other attractions. The festival kicks off Friday with a reserve tasting at the downtown Marriott hotel offering specialty wines and culinary delicacies. Proceeds will benefit the Midnight Mission.
