at Houston 1, Milwaukee 0: Roger Clemens struck out nine in seven shutout innings to match a season high in a no-decision and Mike Lamb scored on a strange play in the ninth for the Astros. After Willy Taveras grounded out against reliever Jose Capellan (2-1), Lamb and Craig Biggio singled to put runners at the corners, and Lance Berkman was intentionally walked. Aubrey Huff hit a sharp grounder that first baseman Jeff Cirillo caught. He touched first -- taking away a force home -- and then threw to catcher Damian Miller, who stepped on the plate but didn’t tag Lamb.
