BUZZ CLUBS

Time to break out party hats

Just like the Dresden Room’s Elayne Roberts, who seems to get younger every year, veteran promoter MacAfrica has never looked better. I saw the 57-year-old night clubber at the Children Uniting Nations Oscar party fundraiser in March, and she looked hotter than the most of the twentysomethings. Chalk it up to never going under the knife -- and a decade of nightlife. “I really think the tequila has pickled me,” says the grandmother of three, who celebrates her 58th birthday Sunday at the Day After nightclub with her annual hat party. “I’m out till 5 a.m. four nights a week, and I’ve never felt better.” Among her weekly jaunts are Fridays at L.A.'s Level 3 nightclub, where she caters to a young crowd; and Saturdays in Beverly Hills at Aqua, where an older, upscale crowd mixes and mingles like teens at a sock hop. Expect to see Jeff Goldblum, who is scheduled to perform, at this year’s Mac dandy hat gala.
