Police officer is accused of workers’ comp fraud

A Riverside police officer was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of fraudulently obtaining workers’ compensation benefits.
Laura DiGiorgio of Ontario suffered work-related injuries while making an arrest last year. She did not disclose previous injuries, which directly related to the work-injury claim, said Susan Mickey, a spokeswoman for the San Bernardino County district attorney’s office.
