McKnight to spin smooth jazz
Singer Brian McKnight has been named to replace saxophonist Dave Koz as co-host of the morning show at KTWV-FM (94.7), the smooth jazz station better known as the Wave.
Koz, who has helmed the show with Pat Prescott for the past six years, said he is leaving to undertake a world tour pegged to a new CD coming out at the end of January. In a statement posted on KTWV’s website, he said he will continue to host a Saturday morning show for the station and will fill in when McKnight is on vacation.
The Grammy-nominated McKnight, who has been recording since 1991, begins Jan. 15.
