Arizona wins 11th in a row

Marcus Williams scored 23 points and Ivan Radenovic had 22 as No. 7 Arizona rallied to defeat Stanford, 89-75, Saturday at Tucson for its 11th consecutive victory.

The Wildcats (11-1, 2-0), blew a 13-point first-half lead and fell behind by five midway through the second half. But they ended the Cardinal’s upset hopes by closing the game on a 19-6 run.

Arizona’s 11-game winning streak is its longest since 2001. That streak ended with a loss to Duke in the national championship game.

Point guard Mustafa Shakur had 18 points and nine assists for the Wildcats, who shot 61.2% from the field, including eight of 10 from three-point range.

Lawrence Hill led Stanford (8-3, 1-1) with 20 points.

No. 20 Oregon 76, Oregon State 73 -- The Ducks (13-0, 1-0) are off to their best start in 69 years and remain one of three undefeated Division I teams in the nation along with No. 1 UCLA and No. 25 Clemson.

Oregon won in Corvallis for the first time in four seasons. The Beavers (8-6, 0-1) dropped to 0-3 at home this season against ranked teams.

California 66, Arizona State 62 -- Ayinde Ubaka scored eight points in overtime and the Golden Bears (9-5, 1-1) held on at Tempe, Ariz. Christian Polk of the Sun Devils (6-7, 0-2) made an off-balance three-pointer with 3.9 seconds left to tie the score at 55-55 and force the overtime.
