From Times Wire Reports

Two cargo planes collided in midair, one of them crashing and killing three people but the other landing roughly yet safely, aviation officials said.

The multiengine, fixed-wing cargo planes departed Milwaukee on the same route and collided about 5 p.m., said Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Elizabeth Isham Cory. One landed at an airport in Juneau, about 50 miles northwest of Milwaukee, and the other crashed and burned in a field near Watertown, about 20 miles south.

None of the three people aboard the plane that landed was hurt, Cory said.
